The depot is a building 50.2 metres long by 37.5 metres wide by 13.9 metres high, composed of three floors.

The ground floor holds eight 10m diameter reinforced concrete cable storage tanks, stores, workshop, offices and services.

The upper floor contains a work area with two cable hauling machines and two 1 ton capacity monorails. The intermediate floor is for air conditioning equipment and a water tank.

The roof is a pre-engineered steel structure with insulated double cladding. The construction is reinforced concrete resting on piles. Walls on three sides are single skin steel cladding while the fourth is plastered and painted block work.

The works also included the design for civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, shop drawings and securing all necessary municipal permits.
