INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT

Pivot has established, documented, implemented, and currently maintains an Integrated Management System (IMS) that has received certification under the three international standards for quality, environment, and operational health and safety (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007, respectively).

Designed to encompass all aspects of the company’s operations, the Integrated Management System integrates all systems and processes into one comprehensive framework. To view our Integrated Management System Policy, please click here.

Fundamentally, the IMS ensures:

1.

Working Practices are Coordinated and Integrated.

The IMS ensures the requirements of the specific standards are coordinated, workloads are streamlined and disparate systems are avoided. The standardization and uniformity of practices ensures all departments and employees are working toward a shared vision and objective.

Common elements across the three international standards include procedures for document and data control, internal audits, control of conformance, and management-level review of company operations.

Elements that are unique or specific to each of the three standards have been written into the IMS as individual procedures that are issued to the relevant departments or units through controlled distribution.

2.

No Duplication

The IMS ensures efficiencies in system implementation by incorporating all elements common to the three international standards, avoiding duplication of practices and records, and assuring full compliance in these areas.

3.

Continual Improvement

As part of the measurement, analysis and improvement process, Pivot monitors, measures and analyzes its processes as appropriate, and takes actions as necessary to achieve the planned results and to ensure continual improvement.

When new procedures are created, or existing procedures are updated, affected departments undergo training that explains how the new or revised procedure will impact their daily activities and operations.

The effectiveness of the IMS is checked through regular internal audits, management reviews, customer satisfaction surveys, and communications received from customers and other relevant parties.

4.

Improved Operations

The IMS both enables and fosters the continual improvement in our performance through the monitoring and review of our policies, procedures and processes to enable process optimization.

5.

The Enduring Strength of the Pivot Brand

Pivot is dedicated to providing an unparalleled level of service to its clients. The implementation of the IMS enables a coordinated approach to the delivery of our projects, which deliver value and quality.

Customers are sophisticated, well informed and have high expectations. In such an environment, companies can only remain successful by tirelessly pursing a commitment to quality. In fact, any organization of any size can go a long way toward securing its future by introducing a quality management system that conforms to a standard such as ISO 9000. At its simplest level, quality management provides consistency and improves work practices that in turn provide products and services that at minimum meet and more often exceed the customer's expectations.

The benefits of implementing a quality management system include:

  • Senior management determines the company’s policies and objectives.
  • Customer expectations and the drivers that determine customer satisfaction are identified and understood.
  • Internal and external communications are improved.
  • The organization's processes are better understood.
  • There is greater awareness regarding statutory and regulatory requirements, and their impact on the organization and customers.
  • All employees know and understand responsibilities and lines of authority.
  • Time and resources are used efficiently.
  • Less waste is generated.
  • Products and services are more consistent and more traceable.
  • Morale and motivation is higher.

The ISO 14001:2015 standard is the basis for the environmental management system element of Pivot’s IMS. The adoption of ISO 14001 provides a framework for conducting business in an environmentally responsible manner.

The system features four core procedures:

  • Environmental aspects identification, impact assessment and control procedures.
  • Operational control procedures.
  • Emergency preparedness and response procedures.
  • Control procedures for legal and other requirements.

Pivot is committed to reducing accidents and incidents through continual training of all employees and members of its supply chain. The BS OHSAS 18001 standard provides the basis for the company’s occupational health and safety (OHS) management system within the IMS and offers a framework for conducting business in an atmosphere that reflects the highest levels of occupational health and safety.

Pivot identifies occupational health and safety as a top priority on all projects, and so has implemented the following OHSAS procedures:

  • Hazard identification, risk assessment and control.
  • Emergency preparedness and response.
  • OHSAS system structure and responsibility.
  • Training, awareness and competence.
  • Operational control.
  • Consultation and communication.
  • Legal and other requirements control.
  • Incident investigation and reporting.
  • HSE objectives, targets and programs.
  • Training, awareness and competence.
  • Performance measuring, monitoring and improvement.

Pivot’s OHS management procedures promote a safe and healthy working environment by providing a framework that allows the organization to consistently identify and control its health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve overall performance.
