The project involved all civil and electro-mechanical works associated with the construction of the desalination plants. The plant equipment itself was supplied and installed by another contractor.
Civil works include foundations, slabs, plinths, various trenches and chemical protection for the plant area; complete finishing works for the control and chemical buildings and seawater pump house.
Installation of 800mm dia GRP seawater intake pipeline starting at the pumphouse onshore and including 750m of submarine water intake and concrete housing for intake screen and marker.

Mechanical Details
Air-conditioning plumbing, drainage and sanitary works in the buildings. Installation of 500mm dia GRP brine drainage pipeline.
Supply and erection of a 1 million gallon prefabricated bolted assembly steel water tank with all the necessary works and accessories.
Other marine works including fixing of intake screens and as well as fuel and domestic water lines

Electrical Details
Supply and installation of external and internal lighting system for the buildings. External and street lighting.
Supply and installation of high-tension underground 11KV cables with the termination points, fixing of ring main units and installation of a complete earthing system with earthing pits.
