The main focus of the project was the construction of a large sulphur storage facility. The storage building measures 800m x 70m and rests on seven hundred and sixteen 600mm diameter piles, cast in-situ.

Civil works comprised casting of the piles for the sulphur storage building, frame foundations, stacker reclaimer foundations, shelter foundations and sulphur liquid pits. Enhancing the stability of the soil by means of 3m diameter pits filled with stone.

The project also included construction of a weigh bridge, a maintenance building, preparation of the 103,000 sq. m. of formation level, 98,000 cu.m. of earth filling, 7,000 sq. m. of asphalt paving and installing an underground sewage network.

Works also included landscaping and irrigation, modifications to the control building and modifications to the laboratory. All works were carried out in accordance with ADNOC internal.
