The project was mainly mechanical in nature, involving the dismantling and replacing of the potable water pipework system, the design and construction of the pump foundations and relocation of the pumps and all necessary civil works.

Mechanical Details

The dismantling of existing steel piping for the following systems:

• Irrigation piping system
• Potable water pumping system

The relocation of the pumps. The supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the following systems:

• By-pass system comprised of glass reinforced epoxy resin pipes,
• The stripping, sandblasting, and internal coating of two seven cubic metre water tanks. The internal coating was done using fibreglass mats.
• The main system consists of glass reinforced epoxy resin piping.
