The project involved civil and electro-mechanical works required for the construction of two 33/11KV substations in the Abu Dhabi area. The major electrical works were undertaken by the main contractor.
Pivot's scope of work was the civil and plumbing portion of the project. Also included were the low-voltage electrical works for lighting and AC equipment.
Each substation covers an area of fifty meters by fifty meters and comprises a main building of 550 square meters, a transformer area of 170 square meters, concrete roads, external drainage, an open yard and a 2.5 meter high boundary wall.
The civil works consist of a basement, raft footings, concrete walls, etc, carrying a concrete structure construction with fascia and having block walls.

Plumbing and Sanitary:
The building was furnished with a normal drainage system
consisting of floor traps, UPVC piping, septic tank and soakaway.
The hot and cold water supply were also installed for the kitchen and bathroom fixtures.
